In addition to ending a requirement that was vexing to many, it was a vital tool in the administration’s fight against Coronavirus. A decision to discontinue the portal aligns with the governor’s comments in early March, when Mr. Bryan lifted the mandatory indoor mask mandate. In his announcement two weeks ago, the governor said that the portal would remain in place until June. Ending the portal requirement further reflects the territory’s new Covid endemic status.
